Heavy rains and warm temperatures washed all the snow away from the lower part of the trail. Near the top, expect wet, sloppy, slippery snow.

The summer parking area may be accessible for vehicles with 4WD. It is not recommended for 2WD or low-clearance vehicles—continue to use the winter parking if you do not have a) experience driving in the snow and b) a high-clearance 4WD vehicle.

Always check the WSDOT camera on the day of your reservation for current conditions. (Set the camera to Camera Direction: Eastbound US 2 at MP 61.9: Old Faithful Avalanche Zone)
