Recent rainstorms and warm weather have made the bottom half of the trail muddy and slippery. Waterproof hiking boots, traction devices, and poles are essential.

Always check the WSDOT camera on the day of your reservation for current conditions. (Set the camera to Camera Direction: Eastbound US 2 at MP 61.9: Old Faithful Avalanche Zone)
