Important Points
âžž The Scenic Hot Springs trailhead is located about 10 miles east of the town of Skykomish, and the hot springs themselves are at the end of a 2-mile uphill hike with 1100 feet of elevation gain. This is a challenging hike that requires adequate fitness and appropriate outdoor clothing & equipment.
âžž Travel time from Seattle is approximately 2 hours, depending on traffic conditions.
âžž Do not leave valuables in plain sight and be sure to lock up your vehicle.
âžž NO PETS ALLOWED. Due to county health regulations, pets are prohibited on the Scenic Hot Springs property. Visitors with pets will be escorted off the property immediately, and local authorities will be alerted if pet owners are not cooperative.

Winter Conditions
We do not issue refunds or accommodate last-minute rescheduling requests for any weather-related concerns. Monitor the weather report during the week leading up to your reservation and allow at least 72 hours to reschedule your reservation if you are not comfortable with the forecasted conditions.

During winter cold weather conditions, visitors are expected to carry sufficient clothing and survival supplies in the event you are stranded by deep snowfall or a sudden change in weather.

Wear layered clothing designed for outdoor recreation. Avoid cotton, as wet cotton can lead to hypothermia in cold, wet conditions. Wear a hat and gloves, as needed.
Carry extra food and water. Keep yourself hydrated.
Carry at least two different ways of lighting a fire in an emergency.
Carry your cell phone. Reception is poor at the parking area, but improves during the upper parts of the hike and there is a strong signal at the hot spring site.
Snow can get very deep at Scenic during the height of winter. SNOWSHOES or SKIS ARE ESSENTIAL.
The hike to Scenic Hot Springs has steep slopes that become extremely slippery in snow and ice. Spikes and/or crampons may be necessary.

In the event of a highway closure that prevents access to the property, reservation holders will be given an opportunity to reschedule.
